Abstract: Somatic embryos of oak (Quercus robur L.) were maturated on agar-solidified media. Developing cotyledonary embryos were analyzed at maturity stages I – III for water content, osmotic potential and ABA concentration and proline. With the maturation of embryo, content of proline markedly increased, whereas both content of ABA and water content decreased.
